Where do good vivianites come from? Trepca, yes. Bolivia, yes. Germany... Germany? Yes!! There is a locality in Bavaria, the Bayerland mine near Waldsassen, Fichtelgebirge. This mine gave crystals up to 10 cm in pyrrhotite. Normally the bigger ones (5 cm and more) are rather irregular but this one (more than 9 cm!) isn´t.
